Reports to: Deli Manager

Type of Position: full-time or part-time

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to guests.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Support advertising, promotions, and product displays.
  • Ensure product freshness and quality.
  • Receive and manage inventory and vendor interactions.
  • Prepare food according to standards.
  • Follow cash handling and safety policies.
  • Report safety hazards and customer complaints.
  • Use upselling techniques at point-of-sale.
  • Adhere to uniform and appearance policies.
  • Report to work on time and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Customer service skills, ability to read and interpret documents, basic math skills, sound judgment, and basic computer skills. Food safety certification is required.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for full shifts.
  • Bend, twist, climb, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to cold temperatures in coolers/freezers.
  • Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
