Job Summary

Our Sales Clerks are responsible for helping ensure our guests’ needs are met. They are assigned to a primary area but are also fully trained to assist customers in other areas of the store, including, but not limited to, the prepared foods and meat departments. To succeed in this position, you should be a team player who understands that success is achieved when those around you are supported and set up for success.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in the related field; Food Safety Knowledge
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 16 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of work, for team members, guests, and products.
• Provide excellent guest service, aiming to delight and surprise guests, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Share enthusiasm and passion for food to cultivate a foodie culture among team members and guests.
• Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques appropriately.
• Offer sampling opportunities when appropriate.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, and floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Stock cases by transferring products from the delivery area to shelves.
• Assist guests by answering questions promptly with a friendly attitude.
• Order products as needed using the shelf tags or order machine.
• Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Arrange new items on shelves, ensuring proper display and safety standards.
