Job summary

Schnucks in Savoy, TX is looking for a friendly Deli Clerk to take orders, prepare fresh sandwiches and salads, and provide top-quality customer service.

You will slice and weigh lunch meats, maintain clean display cases, follow safety guidelines, and work closely with teammates to keep service moving.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long shifts, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to translate pounds and ounces into decimals
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Food safety awareness; wear hair restraint and gloves; follow safety rules

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, both in person and on the phone at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, deli cases, and backroom, following company food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses and offer slice thickness options
• Establish product knowledge, suggestive selling and product sampling to assist customers
• Operate deli equipment safely and follow safety procedures
