Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service, share product knowledge, and help maintain fresh, organized displays across departments.

You will stock, rotate, and merchandise products, using store technology to complete tasks efficiently while following food safety guidelines. The role involves assisting multiple departments (Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Grocery) and staying active in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and a friendly attitude.
• Ability to learn and use store technology.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards.
• Need to be physically active (lift, stand for long periods).
• Retail or food service experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and share product knowledge.
• Maintain fresh, visually appealing product displays across departments.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Support departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Help keep store operations running smoothly on every shift.
