Job summary

The Fresh Market in Virginia is seeking a Deli Specialist to drive deli department excellence, ensure product freshness, and maintain merchandising accuracy. You will support inventory, rotation standards, and guest engagement while upholding food safety standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

This role requires 1+ years in retail or hospitality, strong detail orientation, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow all policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
