Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli items while delivering outstanding customer service. You will maintain deli display cases, assist Members with product selection, and handle special orders.

Previous deli experience is preferred; 18+; weekly pay and benefits are provided. Work in a fast-paced, team environment with strong focus on food safety and department cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to Members and answers questions.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats.
• Helps Members select the right products; samples to aid decisions.
• Prepares and packages special orders and party trays.
• Receives, inspects, stocks, rotates deli shipments per safety policies.
• Maintains deli cooler shelves and display cases with a wide variety of product.
• Operates deli equipment safely; keeps scales accurate.
• Abides by club policies and procedures; works in other departments as needed.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
