Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Deli Associate to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli items while ensuring outstanding member service and product quality.

You will maintain deli displays, assist members with selecting products, and help keep the department clean, well-stocked, and compliant with safety standards. This role emphasizes teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to Members. Answers questions and recommends deli items.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats. Helps Members select the correct products.
• Receives and inspects deli shipments. Displays, stocks, rotate, and stores deli products following food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
• Maintains deli display cases and ensures shelves show a wide variety of products.
• Ensures products are fresh and meet company quality standards; checks for out-of-date products daily.
