Job summary

Hannaford Hampton is seeking a diligent deli associate to maintain department appearance, quality, and food safety while delivering enthusiastic customer service. You will build product knowledge across deli meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods, and support training for fellow associates.

Working here means following store policies, maintaining cleanliness, and participating in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and comply with company personal appearance policy.
• Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.
• Assist in training other associates when assigned.
• Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.
• Work within our company's management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed. Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
• Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of deli department (deli meats, cheese, salads, sandwiches, etc.).
• Have total understanding of department's standard practice manual and its intent.
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain the quality of department's appearance and presentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
