Fred Meyer is seeking an Assistant Service Deli Manager to support daily deli operations, engage customers, and maximize department performance in a full-time retail setting. You will lead service standards, assist in scheduling, and coach team members while ensuring store policies and safety guidelines are followed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and a strong focus on meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus six months of Fred Meyer experience and one year related retail experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Accuracy/attention to detail.
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects.
• Ability to work within set time frames.
• Licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service, maintain compliance with merchandising, safety, and shrink controls.
• Sell products to customers; teach selling skills.
• Plan ads/store events and implement promotional plans.
• Perform cashier functions and complete reports; review daily/weekly sales and goals.
• Assist in writing the schedule and maintain clean facilities.
• Respond to customer comments and ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Coach Service Deli managers' reports and provide feedback for performance reviews.
