Job summary

Valley Natural Foods Co-op in Burnsville is seeking a friendly, reliable Part-Time Deli Service Counter team member to join our cooperative. You’ll greet customers, prepare items, slice meats and cheeses, and maintain a clean, safe deli area.

This position is part-time (16–20 hours/week) with early morning shifts, including Saturdays. We offer an employee discount, PTO, a 401(k) match, and a referral program to support our team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a friendly disposition and excellent service skills.
• Friendly disposition, excellent service and communication skills.
• Able to be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
• Regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with friendly, attentive service at our deli counter.
• Serve hot bar, cold case, and grab-and-go items with care and attention to portioning and presentation.
• Slice meats and cheeses to order and prepare sandwiches and sides.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in all areas.
• Work cooperatively with other deli team members to support smooth, efficient operations.
