Yokes is seeking a deli associate in Spokane, WA to provide a pleasant and efficient guest experience. You will engage guests, promote offerings, and prepare foods to order while ensuring high standards of hospitality and service.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, discussing promotions, handling daily food prep, operating deli equipment, and maintaining safety and sanitation. This role emphasizes teamwork and community-friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience.
• Reads and comprehends simple instructions and memos; communicates effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Performs basic math with money and weight measurements.
• Meets state minimum requirements to operate deli equipment and tools.
• Valid State Food Handler Permit and driver’s license or state ID.

Responsibilities

• Report for assigned shifts on time and communicate clearly.
• Promote sales through discussions with guests and discuss promotions.
• Greets guests and informs them of features, products, and services offered by the deli.
• Prepare food for daily business, portion salads, hot entrees, and other items.
• Operate deli equipment safely and assist with closing/opening duties.
• Assist with guest special orders and maintain sanitation and safety standards.
