Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintain well-stocked and appealing Deli service areas, greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally.
2. Ensure freshness and proper display of merchandise, handle spoiled/damaged products, and rotate stock properly.
3. Operate slicing equipment, package items with correct labels, and prepare ready-to-eat foods and platters.
4. Follow recipes and safety policies when preparing hot and cold foods.
5. Operate cash registers, handle money accurately, and comply with laws related to tobacco and alcohol sales.
6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following schedules and health standards.
7. Assist in inventory control, minimize losses, and handle products properly.
8. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, and other duties as trained.
9. Support department and store functions through cooperation and continuous improvement.
10. Use all provided PPE properly.
11. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Ability to perform duties satisfactorily with or without accommodations.
