Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Sudbury, MA is seeking team members for the Prepared Foods department. You will assist production, ensure proper labeling, dating, rotation, and quality per WFM guidelines, and help customers understand differences from conventional stores.

The role emphasizes fast-paced teamwork, proper use of measuring devices, waste documentation, and maintaining clean walk-ins and freezers. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• No formal retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed.
• Helps customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores.
• Ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
