Who We Are

We’ve been Boise’s neighborhood grocer since 1973—starting as a scrappy food-buying club and growing into a community of 50,000+ Co-Owners. With two stores (North End + Village at Meridian) and three sidekicks (Wine Shop, Pet Shop, and Uncorked Wine Bar), the Boise Co-op is more than just a grocery store. We’re about good food, good people, and giving back. We’re local, caring, and passionate about what we do.

Now Hiring: Deli Cook

We’re seeking someone who loves cooking, can follow recipes precisely, and is comfortable in a kitchen. You’ll work in our production kitchen and prep stations, maintain cleanliness, and help stock our grab & go with tasty, ready-to-eat meals.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare our approved recipes accurately
  • Adhere to food safety standards
  • Keep stations clean and organized
  • Operate kitchen equipment (tilt skillet, mixers, blenders)
  • Stock and maintain freshness of grab & go items

What You Bring

  • Team spirit and a positive attitude
  • Receptiveness to feedback and growth
  • Safe knife handling and food safety knowledge
  • Ability to follow recipes and measurements

Bonus Points:

  • ServSafe certification? Great.
  • Culinary school graduate? Not required but appreciated.
  • Industry experience? Helpful.

Physical Requirements

You’ll be on your feet, lifting up to 50 lbs., in a busy grocery environment with customers and coworkers.
