Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations within the deli.

Lead staff, ensure product quality and sanitation, train team members, manage inventories and scheduling, and uphold company standards while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong guest service focus.
• Ability to supervise and train deli staff.
• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of deli operations and merchandising.
• At least 18 years old and able to work extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies at desired levels.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide training and feedback to deli hosts for satisfactory performance.
• Perform ordering, stocking and guest service tasks as needed.
• Maintain labor budgets and scheduling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

Join Lowes Foods as a Deli Manager! As a Deli Manager you will supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the deli department.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
