General Summary: Assists with the implementation of Division Deli Merchandising programs. In the absence of the Deli Manager, responsible for pricing, displaying, ordering, and inventory control within the Department. Ensures the overall presentation, cleanliness, and profitability of the Department while providing excellent customer service. Serves as a positive role model and provides training for other Deli employees.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Achieve Superior Service goals of the Department.
2. Supervise department staff in the absence of the Deli Manager, including scheduling, training, and duties assignment. Lead the department as a positive role model.
3. Implement all merchandising programs.
4. Maintain standards of Department presentation and operations, including cleanliness, sanitation, inventory control, rotation, quality, ordering, and signage.
5. Manage ordering and inventory to meet division "turn" goals.
6. Ensure the Department offers high-quality products to customers.
7. Monitor compliance with variety standards and ad item display requirements.
8. Follow paperwork procedures as set by the Division in the absence of the Deli Manager.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
10. Oversee sales and profitability of the Department.

Qualifications:

1. One to two years of experience in the Food industry.
2. Training experience preferred. High School Diploma/GED or relevant work experience demonstrating ability to perform essential functions.
3. Motivated, team-oriented, with strong Customer Service skills.
4. Strong leadership abilities.
