Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Manager to lead the department, direct team members, manage inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet guests, make recommendations, manage ordering deadlines, reduce shrink, stock and prepare CMS items, and coach staff in customer service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field or 5 years of related management experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and proactively assisting them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely information
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s meat, cheeses, and CMS throughout the day
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

About the Position:

As the Deli Manager, you are taking the lead in directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:
