You will enforce food-safety standards, monitor product quality, and maintain a clean, compliant deli environment in a fast-paced retail/warehouse setting. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli, food service, retail or warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and product handling.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Baseline proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality and presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory with proper stock rotation and replenishment.
• Ensure deli products are handled, prepared and stored to company and food-safety standards.
• Monitor quality and freshness; remove unsellable items as needed.
• Supervise and manage department staff per procedures and performance expectations.
• Coordinate merchandising, signage and displays to support sales and engagement.
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies and address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food-safety regulations and internal audits.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and sanitation throughout the deli.

Job Details

The Deli Manager is responsible for overseeing all deli department operations, including food safety, inventory management, merchandising, and team performance. This role ensures compliance with company standards, maintains high levels of product quality and freshness, and supports overall sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levels
• Ensure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concerns
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standards
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli department

Work Environment / Expectations
