Job summary

Oliver is hiring a Deli Kitchen Clerk to uphold high standards in hot service prep and production at our Santa Rosa location. Regular full-time role offering $19.00-$22.00 per hour with weekend availability required.

You will prep panini/sandwiches, assist with production, and ensure food safety and accurate labeling in a fast-paced deli environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma, ServSafe or ANSI food handler certification, basic cooking skills, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Basic knowledge of Oliver's kitchen recipes.
• Basic cooking/grilling skills.
• Demonstrates proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Team-player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear and effective communication style, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow directions and established procedures with attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast paced, evolving environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic math skills.
• Conversational English skills required when working with customers.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete prep work for Panini/Sandwich, Packer, Prep Cook, and Salad Bar Production.
• Follow and complete daily production sheets.
• Aid with preparation of products according to the Companys specifications and recipes.
• Wash, soak, cut, peel and chop ingredients by hand or machine.
• Package, weigh, and label products, using the Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate.
• Consistently check and record all food temperatures in proper logs.
• Accurately practice FIFO product rotation to minimize and control spoilage and waste.
• Organize, rotate, and stock workstation and department supplies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Operation of equipment (stoves, fryers, ovens, etc.).
• Answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation and safe work practices.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations to supervisors.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
