Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a friendly deli team member to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment. You will greet guests, perform department tasks, explain products, and assist in sample offerings while ensuring quality and freshness.

You will prepare items for sale, maintain sanitation and proper grooming, support front-end duties to minimize wait times, and communicate specials over the PA system.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite greetings and interactions with guests.
• Perform assigned duties in a fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in the area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Actively provide samples to guests and explain offerings as needed.
• Efficiently prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness according to station guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and/or satisfy requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate temperature and/or product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standard.
• Perform front end duties to insure “no noticeable wait” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
