Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a deli team member to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced deli environment. You will greet guests, explain menu items, offer samples, and prepare products for sale with attention to quality and freshness.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, assisting with front-end duties, and communicating guest needs to management. Must meet physical requirements and maintain grooming standards in a friendly team setting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and interact with them.
• Perform duties in a fast-paced environment while engaging guests and team members.
• Explain products available in the deli area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Offer samples and explain offerings as needed.
• Prepare products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing, cooking).
• Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness per guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation in the cooler, freezer, prep, and sales areas.
• Communicate guest requests to management and fulfill them promptly.
• Report temperature or product issues to the supervisor.
• Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
• Assist in front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait times.
• Announce specials and sales information over the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
