Job summary

KJ's Market is seeking a friendly deli team member to greet guests, prepare and price products, and maintain quality and sanitation across the deli area. You will handle customer requests, assist with receiving, and announce specials over PA to drive sales.

The role requires 18+ years old, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and the stamina to stand and bend for extended periods. This is a hands-on, on-site position in a grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests.
• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform front porch duties to ensure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
