Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a friendly deli associate to provide excellent guest service and handle deli department duties in a fast-paced environment. You will greet guests, explain products, prepare items, maintain freshness and sanitation, assist with samples, and support receiving and stocking while upholding grooming and uniform standards.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 25 lbs routinely, and a team-focused attitude to ensure no noticeable wait for customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Perform assigned duties in a fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in the deli area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Actively provide samples to guests and explain offerings as needed.
• Prepare products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness according to station guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and/or satisfy requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate temperature and/or product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
• Perform front end duties to ensure 'no noticeable wait' standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
