Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a Deli Associate at our Elkhart, Indiana location. You will bake, fry, package, and stock deli products, and help merchandize shelves and displays while following PPE and food safety guidelines. Work is performed in a retail store environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents, with preferred candidates having a high school diploma and retail experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail or related experience.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Bake and fry based on production schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag deli products.
• Fill, rotate, inspect and merchandise deli shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
