Vintage Grocers in Malibu, CA is seeking an entry-level Deli Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli, washing dishes, utensils, and food prep equipment. This part-time role supports deli operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting team members with general cleaning and stocking duties as needed.

The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Previous dishwashing, janitorial, or food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and food preparation equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of sinks, dishwashing areas, floors, walls, and workstations.
• Remove trash and recycling and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
• Sweep and mop floors to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Assist with cleaning deli display cases, refrigerators, and food preparation areas.
• Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Support deli staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with team members.
