Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates and ensure alignment with store goals.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on their job performance and participate in evaluations.
• Create an inviting environment by answering questions and guiding customers within the store.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples to encourage discovery of new items.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
• Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
• Inform and educate associates about in-store promotions affecting the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist management with budget, expenses, and profitability reports.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags and promotional signs.
• Plan and organize inventory, train associates on stocking and CAO processes.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs by following procedures and reporting hazards or accidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines and handle conflicts calmly.
• Provide support through interaction with diverse customer groups, including minors and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
