Responsibilities include promoting teamwork, communicating with staff, managing inventory, and ensuring quality products, prices, and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math including counting and simple arithmetic.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates and manage scheduling.
• Establish department goals and empower the team to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume and assist in inventory planning.
• Train associates on performance and participate in appraisals.
• Ensure a welcoming environment and respond to customer questions about products.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to promote products.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Support budget, expense control, and overall department profitability.
• Plan promotions and coordinate with store management.
