Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Deli Associate to maintain product quality, appearance, and safety while delivering enthusiastic customer service in our Blue Hill, ME location. You will learn the deli department, assist in training teammates, and help execute company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and comply with company personal appearance policy.
• Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.
• Assist in training other associates when assigned.
• Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.
• Work within our company's management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.
• Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of deli department (deli meats, cheese, salads, sandwiches, etc.).
• Have total understanding of department's standard practice manual and its intent.
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain the quality of department's appearance and presentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
