Job summary

Walt Churchill’s Market in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a Full-Time Deli Cook to join our deli team. The role supports daily deli operations, assists customers at the counter and on the sales floor, prepares products, and maintains safety and cleanliness.

Evening and weekend availability is required. Typical schedule is four weekdays and one weekend day from 8 AM to 4 PM. Starting pay is $16+ per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of cooking or kitchen experience.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• High school education.
• Prior deli or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at the deli counter, on the sales floor, and over the phone.
• Package, wrap, price, and merchandise deli products.
• Maintain product knowledge of deli items and rotate stock (FIFO).
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
• Perform cleaning duties and operate deli equipment safely.
• Prepare cold salads, dips, grab-and-go items, and soups.
• Lead as Shift Lead in manager's absence and coordinate production lists.
