Description

Our goal is to produce, execute, and deliver outstanding prepared foods in terms of freshness, taste, quality, and presentation, efficiently and timely. Assist in all deli operations to ensure a high standard of product and service for Cosentino’s customers.

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Deli Manager.

Status: Non-exempt position.

Knowledge

Certifications, education, or training required:

  • Food handling permit within first 14 days of employment.
  • Completion of ongoing training as per Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
  • At least one year of experience in deli, bakery, catering, or banquet operations.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in deli or food service production.
  • Understanding of food sanitation guidelines.

Preferred but not required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing menu items, portion control, adhering to safety and sanitation standards, supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Operate equipment safely and maintain deli standards.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, standing, walking, bending, and working in cold environments.
