Job summary

United Markets is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk for the San Anselmo location. The right candidate will be customer-service driven and comfortable performing a variety of deli tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, slicing meat, wrapping items, stocking displays, and operating deli equipment while following safety and sanitation guidelines; local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Serve Safe certification is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

About the Role:

United Markets is looking for a Part Time Deli Clerk at our San Anselmo location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and be flexible working various tasks from day to day.

Essential Functions:

• Assist customers at the deli counter which may include making sandwiches and slicing meat.
• Properly cut, wrap and scale deli items.
• Stock and display deli products.
• Operates slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment; assists in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition.
• Individual must be able to follow procedures and guidelines.
• Must be able to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Local candidates only.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Serve Safe certified is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
• Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $19.50 - $24.35/hour
