The Deli/Bakery Clerk is responsible for keeping all food service cases stocked and clean during business hours. They are required to assist customers as needed and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Food Service Department.
High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years grocery retail experience preferred; experience in natural foods is a plus.
Customer service excellence, adaptability, initiative, attention to detail, communication skills, organizational skills, teamwork, flexibility, knowledge of health regulations, basic math skills, and food equipment handling skills.
Includes standing, walking, lifting, and working in temperature-varied environments, with specific details on physical requirements and safety considerations.
