Responsibilities

• Serve customers promptly, courteously, accurately, and efficiently, using suggestive selling and maintaining high-quality interactions.
• Mix raw materials, follow recipes, and maintain product consistency.
• Rotate bakery products on a first-in / first-out basis.
• Follow regular cleaning schedules for equipment and cases.
• Operate equipment such as bread slicers, proofers, scales, fryers, mixers, and ovens (if applicable).
• Adhere to weights and measures standards and properly use containers and packaging materials.
• Take cake orders and script cakes; learn to decorate cakes proficiently.
• Complete price changes as requested.
• Operate hydraulic balers, pallet jacks, and trash compactors.
• Perform freshness checks to ensure all products are within the sell-by date.
• Perform cleaning functions for the bakery work area and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company recipes.
• Assist with staffing the deli counter based on business demands.
• Operate telephones and intercoms, practicing proper etiquette.
• Follow all company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
