Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets is looking for a friendly, energetic deli team member to deliver excellent customer service and assist with deli counter operations in our Oregon stores. You will greet customers, respond to requests, and help with slicing, packing, and pricing deli items.

Applicants should have food safety awareness, be able to lift items, and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior deli or food prep experience is preferred, and training is provided.

Qualifications

Customer service experience in a retail setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to stay energetic and helpful during busy shifts.
Food safety procedures knowledge or training.

Responsibilities

Create an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for customers.
Greet customers as they enter and assist with deli needs.
Listen to customers to understand their needs and offer deli items.
Prepare, weigh, slice, package, and price deli items.
Handle special orders and party trays as needed.
Update displays and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Ensure displays and products meet company standards and safety rules.

If you are hired, you will be...

Creating an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.
Welcoming and greeting customers when entering or leaving the store.
Listening to customers to gain a thorough understanding of what they need.
Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing deli items.
Preparing special orders, take-out items, and party trays.
Updating displays, cases and other customer-facing areas.
Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.
Following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Ensuring work areas are clean and ready to service customers.
Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
Help lead and motivate the deli department team.
Performing other duties as assigned.
