The Kroger Co. is hiring a Deli Clerk to deliver outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean deli area. You will support the department manager in reaching sales goals while upholding Kroger’s values and quality standards.

As a Deli team member, you’ll handle food preparation, labeling, and customer interactions, ensuring fresh, accurately prepared items and strong service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Willingness to learn food production and handling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain a current food handlers permit after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli items per customer requests.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, date, rotate, and monitor deli items for quality and freshness.
• Gain knowledge of deli products and respond to questions from customers.
• Provide excellent customer service and employ suggestive selling techniques.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership with or without accommodation.
