Job summary

Queen’s Price Chopper in Paola, KS is seeking a Deli Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience by providing prompt, courteous service and accurate order fulfillment. You will handle fresh meat and cheese, prepare party trays, and operate deli equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Work includes maintaining a clean, safe display, stocking products, and assisting with catering orders. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled by the department manager.
• Assist in the production of deli items, salads, snack trays, pizzas and entrees.
• Prepare party trays, catering orders, and other special orders.
• Display merchandise in an attractive, neat manner.
• Maintain sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and handle varying weights as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
