Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is hiring a Deli Clerk in Albuquerque, NM to enhance the in-store experience with fresh food preparation and friendly service. You’ll guide customers on selections, slice meats, assemble items, and maintain appealing displays.

You will also stock, clean, and monitor freshness and temperature, while handling orders and assisting teammates in a fast-paced environment. Prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with customers in person or over the phone.
• Experience preparing deli items, slicing, assembling and portioning.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items.
• Accurate portioning, labeling, pricing and order completion.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while keeping workflow smooth.
• Keep display cases stocked, clean and visually consistent.
• Process transactions and give correct change using registers.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and company procedures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demand.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities
