Overview of Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our popular department. Your tasks include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and sharing your knowledge of our products. Food safety knowledge is essential to maintain our high standards. Opportunities for growth include learning more about products, equipment, and customer service. We seek individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Be dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments (cooler and freezer).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
