Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to join our Fresh departments. You will deliver friendly service, share product knowledge, and help keep displays fresh and well‑stocked to ensure a welcoming store experience for customers.

You will assist across multiple departments, follow safety standards, and contribute to efficient store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer-first mindset and friendly attitude.
• Ability to learn and use job-specific technology.
• Comfort with physical tasks and standing for extended periods.
• Retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product knowledge and service needs.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery as needed.
