Job Description

Assist customers, sell deli products, and maintain food production and food safety standards. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
2. Perform duties as listed on daily tour sheet
3. Maintain case and deli area between customers, including stocking, restocking, and cleaning
4. Answer telephones
5. Comply with corporate policies
6. Promote and follow company initiatives
7. Comply with all food safety guidelines and standards
8. Rotate deli product by code date
9. Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum

• 6 months of food service experience
• 6 months of customer service experience
• Any related retail experience
• Food Handlers Certification
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift, and work overtime as needed
• Less than high school education and up to one month related experience or training; or a combination of relevant education and experience
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with deli products
• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
