Job summary

Food Lion in Prosperity, SC is seeking a Deli/Bakery team member to provide quality customer service, maintain department standards, and maximize sales through friendly, efficient service.

You will handle ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise, ensure sanitation and food safety, and follow company guidelines while working with teammates.

This role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and demonstrated interpersonal skills; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow manuals for product processing, labeling, and related tasks.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise.
• Maintain department sanitation and proper food handling.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report all accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
• Complete CBT and Training materials as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
