Job summary

Food Lion in Fruitland, MD is seeking a Deli/Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service in-store. You will maintain standards per the standard practice manual, maximize sales through service, and minimize shrink through proper handling and display of merchandise.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Deli Bakery Department.
• Follow technical manuals for processing of product, labeling, etc.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies and guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food handling procedures.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents to the Manager on Duty as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with a name badge and maintain a neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
