Job summary

Harris Teeter in North Carolina is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant. You will assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department and support the Department Manager in overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 years related experience.
• Experience in retail or deli/bakery operations preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline.
