Job summary

Food For Less Piggly Wiggly in Quincy, FL is seeking a full-time Assistant Deli Department Manager to lead the deli team, ensure top-notch customer service, and support department operations. The role involves staff training, food prep, and maintaining safety standards on shift.

The ideal candidate has deli management experience, strong communication skills, and is capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Previous experience managing in a deli/cooking environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain Food Manager certification within 12 months.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Oversee food preparation, inventory, prepping, cooking, and cleaning in the deli.
• Assist in managerial duties and provide leadership across the department.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff; support performance management.
• Assist with merchandising to drive sales while keeping the area clean.
• Assist in scheduling, payroll, and adherence to goals.
• Train personnel and ensure efficient operation of concessions.
• Support daily operations, inventory management, and stocking.
