Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will follow safety guidelines, assist customers, and support ordering, receiving, and display of merchandise in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires strong teamwork, the ability to follow manuals, and commitment to sanitation and food handling practices. Training courses will be provided, and flexibility is valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follows all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Ensures proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Maintain understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
• Report all accidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Complete Computer Based Training, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
