Job summary

Food Lion in Carrollton, VA is hiring for a Deli Bakery Clerk to provide quality customer service in the Deli Bakery Department. You will maintain standards, maximize sales through friendly service, and help minimize shrink by following the standard practice manual.

The role requires following Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling, and using company tools such as ACIS and CAO.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Follow all manuals for processing, labeling, etc.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise complies with policies.
• Ensure department sanitation and proper food handling.
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Report accidents to Manager on Duty and follow Food Lion procedures.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge and neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training packets as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
