Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, product‑knowledgeable service in our Fresh departments and to help keep the store inviting and well‑run. You will stock, rotate, and merchandise while upholding safety and quality standards, and you’ll build positive connections with customers and teammates.

You’ll use technology to complete tasks efficiently, work across departments such as Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, and Grocery, and stay active during shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and friendly attitude.
• Comfort learning and using job-specific technology.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
• Willingness to be physically active, including standing for extended periods.
• Retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
