Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Deli/Bakery Clerk to keep cases stocked and clean, assist customers with purchases, and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor. The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating products, weighing and labeling, following health guidelines, and supporting a cross-functional team to ensure a clean, organized department with accurate pricing and promotions.

• Must have skills working with all food service equipment such as knives, slicers, scales, and ovens.
• Capability to cut and weigh various amounts of meats, salads, and cheeses.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of deli/bakery cases, storage area, and work area for safety; includes cleaning of shelves and products, facing and organization as per schematics.
• Stocks deli/bakery cases; presentation, labeling, and tagging according to standards.
• Examines rotation of deli/bakery products; discards expired items.
• Responds to customer inquiries and assists with purchases and product selection; cross-sells when appropriate.
• Receives, inspects, and logs shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Monitors POS signs and promos; ensures availability of recipe cards and coupons.
• Prepares deli/bakery items with correct ingredients and timing; weighs and labels products.
• Performs pre-inventory prep and back stock checks; maintains product knowledge.
