Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Deli/Bakery Clerk in Newport, KY to stock and maintain our deli and bakery cases, assist customers, and uphold safety and cleanliness during busy shifts.

You will weigh, label, and prepare items, use knives, scales and slicers, and help ensure accurate pricing and attractive displays. High school diploma and 1–2 years grocery experience preferred; employees enjoy weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps deli/bakery cases stocked and clean.
• Assists customers and provides product recommendations and information.
• Ensures pricing accuracy and attractive display of products.
• Operates food-service equipment safely (knives, scales, ovens).
• Prepares deli/bakery items and weighs/labels products.
• Supports back stock and pre-inventory preparation.
• Maintains department cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
