Fresh Thyme Market is looking for a Deli/Bakery Clerk in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will keep deli/bakery cases stocked and clean, assist customers, and maintain top-notch service while adhering to Food Service guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and safety in daily duties. The position requires a high school diploma, with preferred 1-2 years of grocery retail experience in Food Service and a plus for natural foods familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of deli/bakery cases and surrounding areas to ensure safety.
• Stocks and presents deli/bakery products with proper pricing and organization.
• Checks product rotation and discards expired items.
• Assist customers with purchases, information and product selection; promote cross-selling.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment accuracy and quality.
• Ensures tag and pricing accuracy across the display.
• Operates food service equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and ovens.
• Prepares deli/bakery items using correct ingredients and cooking times.
